About the speaker

Bob Jordan is one of several parishioners with an interest in local history. They are hoping to produce a follow-on to the Austin Whitaker/Barbara Large publication of 1985.

Bob has a keen interest in historical memorabilia and has a collection of vintage postcards. It was Bob who spotted the link between the cracked old crockery in the Parish Hall and the ill-fated Titanic. See also Old plates are crocks of gold.

Bob was a Parish Councillor for several years and the Council’s Chairman from 1992 to 1995.

This is another in the series of monthly events at the pavilion, following the Wine Evening in March and Will North’s Atlantic Row in April
