Emergency Contacts and Community Resilience
Emergency Contacts and Community Resilience
HCC is responsible for coordinating a major incident within the county. Although the referenced document does not mention Parish Councils explicitly, we understand that Parish Councils are expected to effectively ‘hold the fort’ until the emergency services arrive.
After that, it will be mainly a case of providing suitable accommodation and care for those individuals affected by the incident.
Clearly the best venues for providing accommodation are Shawford Village Hall, the Jubilee Pavilion and the Reeves Scout Hall – all of which have catering facilities and ablutions.
