Award-winning Ordnance Survey mapping online

We created this introductory page in 2013 when we first started display Ordnance Survey maps on this website under the terms of the Public Sector Mapping Agreement (PSMA).

In March 2014, our then-innovative use of maps received two awards at the national Ordnance Survey 2014 PSMA Conference. 

In 2021, the Public Sector Geospatial Agreement (PSGA) superseded the PSMA.

At the same time, the Ordnance Survey retired the original OpenSpace API, which we had used to display the maps.

The new OS Maps API is slightly different so, we have had to update all the pages with OS maps.

The new interface offers several enhancements, including the ability to switch into full-screen display and the ability to zoom in to much more detailed mapping than before.

The zoomable maps of the parish on this website show:

• Key points in the parish (schools, church, Parish Hall, Scout Hall, Pavilion)
• Public Rights of Way in our parish and in our area
• A map of the Compton Street Conservation Area, and a proof of concept display (now retired) of planning applications.
• The parish boundary
• routes of circular walks
