Multi-Use Games Area

Compton and Shawford Parish Council will hold the opening and naming ceremony for the new Multi-Use Games Area, bordering the Memorial Playing Field. We have invited Olympic volunteers from our parish to conduct the opening ceremony.
The Parish Council will also be taking the opportunity to create a wildflower area to the north and east of this area, so you may like to talk about the value of such a scheme.
Prizes, kindly donated by Marwell Zoo, are
- Overall winner: a family day ticket to the Zoo
- Category winners: a child ticket to the Zoo
Compton and Shawford Parish Council invites young (or young at heart) parishioners to name the Games Area.
Your entry should include:
- Your proposed name for the Games Area
- Your full name and age
- Contact details including Telephone, Email and Postcode
There are three prize categories
Under 7 7 and Over 11 and Over
You are encouraged to submit a reason, such as an interesting fact or historical reference, to support your entry. However, this is not essential and will not be a factor in the judging.
