DIAMOND JUBILEE BALL – Weekend 2nd, 3rd and 4th June, 2012

The Diamond Jubilee Committee, led by the Chairman of the Parish Council, is working together with the Ball Committee to provide a weekend of celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Next year, instead of having the traditional May bank holiday on the last Monday of May, there will be a holiday on the first Monday and Tuesday of June instead.

The plans so far are as follows:

Saturday 2nd June: Diamond Jubilee Ball

Tables of 10 can be booked with Susan Staunton

Payment is not due yet, but an indication of who would like tables is very helpful for our planning.

………..

Sunday 3rd June:  Days of yesteryear, to include an Olde Time Music Hall, afternoon teas, carriage rides, and competitions to replicate some of those held on the day of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.

If anyone would like to organize something else on this theme, please let Una know

…………

Monday 4th June: A fun day for all the family.

Stalls, races and competitions galore. Tug o’war and a village cricket match

(to be confirmed)

Again if you are interested in getting involved this day, please let Una know.

We are also looking for sponsors and raffle prizes – please contact Una or Veronica Bliss
