Hurdle Way Bridleway temporary closure extended to 28 July
Do you walk, run or or cycle along the bridleway from the end of Hurdle Way to Yew Hill?
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: PART OF COMPTON AND SHAWFORD BRIDLEWAY 6
ORIGINAL PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 12.06.2023 until 30.06.2023 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
EXTENDED PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 30.06.2023 until 28.06.2023 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Hampshire County Council have informed us that
The Countryside Service has extended the Order to temporarily close part of Shawford and Compton Bridleway 6 to allow for works in connection with Southern Water and access improvements to Yew Hill Reservoir.

The notice says that there are “ADJACENT RIGHTS OF WAY AVAILABLE”
But it’s a long detour to get from the end of the paved part of Hurdle Way to Yew Hill while Bridleway 6 is closed.
