Buses and the Otterbourne Road closure

There will be no weekday Bluestar daytime bus service through the parish from 8th November until 15th November, due to road closure in Otterbourne. Weekend services as normal. The following information is available via the Bluestar website:-

The section of Main Road between Kiln Lane and Oakwood Ave through Otterbourne is due to be closed for resurfacing between 0900-1630 from Tuesday 8 November through to Friday 11th November and again on Monday 14th November.

When the road is closed buses on Bluestar 1 will divert between the Nuffield Hospital stop and Bushfield roundabout via the M3 direct. From Southampton this will affect the 0815 to 1550 journeys and from Winchester the 0850 to 1610.

A shuttle service will operate from the Poles Lane roundabout bus stop and Winchester. The shuttle leaves Poles Lane hourly from 09.10 to 16.10 and the return journey leaves Winchester at 09.52 hourly to 15.52 when normal services should resume. Passengers travelling to/from Southampton can pay the normal fare on the shuttle and connect with the normal service journey at St Cross or Winchester.
