Eleven of us (nine humans and two dogs), set off on another sunny morning (Sunday July 24th) from Totford and enjoyed a very pleasant walk of about three hours. Starting across the downs of the Candover valley, we headed through the woods of Abbotstone Down and after only a minor battle with nettles (rampant this year) entered the parkland at Northington.
As the attached photo shows we took a deserved rest at Northington Grange, where the only complaint was that no one had provided the Pimms!

A short walk took us back to the Woolpack in time for lunch.
