Shawford Down Ash works
Further Ash work starting 6 November
More work will be taking place under the previously announced temporary closure of footpath 28 on Shawford Down and some parts of the footpath are likely to be closed.
James Lovegrove from HCC Countryside Service tells us:
Next phase of ADB (Ash Die Back) works are due to take place w/c the 6th Nov.
These works will start on the steps running up through the wooded area, then the works will continue on the road edges around the site as well as the train station carpark where it adjoins our land.
There will be some traffic management where the works are carried out on trees near the road edges and safety signage warning people of tree works operations.
I envisage the works to take approximately 3 weeks to complete.
