Household Waste Recycling Centres re-open 11 May 2020
Hampshire County Council has confirmed that all of Hampshire’s 24 Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs), as well as the City Depot site in Southampton and the Paulsgrove facility in Portsmouth, will open on Monday 11 May 2020
But they add that
You should only travel to a HWRC if the build-up of waste in your home may pose a risk of injury or to health
All site users must keep a 2-metre distance from others at all times.
Temporary daily opening hours are 10am to 4pm.
Clinically vulnerable people, over 70 and pregnant women should avoid visiting a HWRC.
For more details on the re-opening and “How to stay safe and practise social distancing at HWRCs” see the HWRC section of the HCC website.
