The Parish Council has today received the following letter about Bushfield demolition works.

Dear Councillors and Clerks,

We are writing to inform you of some minor demolition works at Bushfield due to Health & Safety issues, in case of any queries from the public.

The site has been monitored closely by both the Council and the landowner and a serious concern has been raised in regard to the safety of the site. In short, whilst the land is private and there are no public rights of way across the site there is regular unauthorised access, removal of locks, fly-tipping, anti-social behaviour and health and safety issues. The Commissioners have been monitoring the current situation and were advised by their H&S Consultant to apply for demolition of the buildings.

Strutt & Parker is leading this work on behalf of CCE and has now received confirmation from the Council to proceed. The demolition works are scheduled to commence on Monday 12th November and last one week. There has also been some recent fly-tipping which is being removed and new locks have been fitted.

Full precautions will be taken to safely secure the site and undertake the works with best practice. If you have any queries regarding the demolition, we would be happy to pass on any concerns to CCE and Strutt & Parker.

Alongside these works, CCE and Knight Frank are working towards securing a development partner. We hope to be able to provide you with an update in the New Year.

If you have any queries regarding the email above or the attachments, please feel free to contact me directly.

Regards,

Jo.
