Badger Farm Roundabout Cycle Safety Planned Improvements

So we are publishing this copy of a recent letter from the County Council Safety Engineering Team.
It describes planned safety improvements at and around the Badger Farm Roundabout.As soon as we have any information about dates for the work, we’ll let you know.
Dear Councillor Warwick
A3090 Hockley Link/B3335 St Cross Road Roundabout, Winchester
As part of the Safety Engineering Low Cost Casualty Reduction programme for 2017/18, this site has been identified and measures proposed to help reduce injury accidents, in line with our countywide casualty reduction priorities
The measures, shown on the attached drawing comprise of the installation of some new high friction surfacing, lining and some pedal cyclist information signs, which aim to draw driver’s attention to the various hazards at this location.
We expect this scheme to reduce the number of accidents currently occurring here. So the Safety Engineering Team will carefully monitor its effectiveness for a period of five years. We have also sent a copy of this letter to Compton and Shawford Parish Council by email, to advise them accordingly.
