New councillors wanted
On 2 November 2016, in compliance with Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972, the Council published a Casual Vacancy notice on the Parish Council noticeboards.
Since there was no formal request for a by-election within the prescribed 14 working days of that notice, the Council is now seeking to fill the vacancies by co-option, and will cover this subject at its meeting on 10 January 2017.
This notice also appears on the parish noticeboards.
See the Chair’s November letter, the Becoming a Councillor web page, and the Council’s Casual Vacancy and Co-option Process document.
