Attention Dog Owners – Free Microchip events

Free Dog Microchipping Event
From April 2016, owners of dogs must have their dogs micro chipped according to the Microchipping of Dogs Regulations.

This will help us reduce the number of stray dogs that aren’t returned to their owners and quicken the process of them being returned.

One more free microchipping session - Sunday 4 October
Run by Winchester City Council Animal Welfare Team
From         1.30pm to 4.30pm on Sunday 4th October
At               Mole Country Stores Winchester, Easton Lane, Hampshire, Winnall SO23 7RU

We are pleased to hold these events in order to help our districts residents who might not be aware of the new regulations coming into force and those that might not necessarily be able to afford the service.

We are lucky to have The Dogs Trust attending the event along with the Blue Cross and some good food companies. They will be raising awareness of responsible dog ownership.

  • The Winchester event is being held at Moles Valley country store on Wednesday 5 August.
The Denmead event is being run at the Denmead community centre on Wednesday 26 August.
The two venue holders have been very generous and haven’t charged us for holding this event.
