Open Meeting to discuss any future development of the Memorial Playing Field

Thursday 18th September. 7.30pm at the Pavilion.

Following the postponement of the meeting arranged for the 25th August, a meeting will take place on Thursday September 18th at the Pavilion starting at 7.30pm. Everyone welcome.

The Parish Council has received requests for further facilities to be provided on the MPF, some suggested at the open meeting on March 17th.

Before deciding whether and how to proceed, the council wishes to develop a long term plan for this valuable open space amenity within our parish.

Don’t worry if you are unable to make this meeting – it’s just the first stage in the process of wider consultation, but feel free to send in any comments by email.

Topics for discussion include:

  • Prioritisation of requirements over 1, 3 and 5 years.
  • Maintaining open space
  • Jubilee walkway linking to other walkways
  • A fourth tennis court
  • Open-air table tennis
  • Bowling green (mooted in the past)
  • Provision of football and cricket areas
  • Consultation Process
