Otterbourne Road roadworks update

Good news for residents:

The surface repairs on Otterbourne Road between Bushfield Roundabout and the junction with Southdown Road, scheduled for 5 November 2012, have been replanned and will not now involve  complete closure of the road.

Hampshire County Council tell us:

in agreement with the contractor, a different method of working has been found that allows the use of temporary traffic signals as opposed to a road closure. The works will also not begin until after 09:30 to allow commuters and the school to pass without delay

The County Council website has a page on this Operation Resilience, though at the time of writing it doesn’t have any details about the works planned for the Otterbourne Road.
