Info from Hampshire County Council in an email to the Parish Council and a letter to residents, dated 11 October 2011:

As part of Operation Resilience, Hampshire County Council will be undertaking carriageway resurfacing works on Compton Street from its junction with Otterbourne Road to its junction with Attwoods Drove. The works are programmed to start Monday 24 and are expected to last for 1 Night, during which time the road will be closed to through traffic from approximately 19:00 to 06:00hrs.

Information signs advising road users of the impending works will be erected approximately 2 weeks before the start of works. A letter has been sent to local residents and an email will be sent to the Parish Council to advise them accordingly.
