Rogation Sunday Walkers
Walkers from All Saints Church congregation joined walkers from Compton & Shawford walkers group, totalling 12 adults, 2 children (no dogs!) for a Rogation Sunday walk led by Bob Jordan.
Leaving the church at 2-30pm the route followed the footpath opposite the church heading north across the Park & Ride car park. An opportunity was taken to compare the present view across to St. Catherines Hill with some photos of the same view during the M3 construction (very interesting).
We then proceeded along the railway viaduct to Hockley (only a few of the walkers had done this before).
From Hockley we took the river/canal path to Compton Lock, over the lock and back through Place Lane arriving back at the village at approx. 4pm

A very enjoyable walk.
